Great Sports Rivalries
The Greatest Rivalries in American Sports - By the Numbers
UCLA vs. USC Athletic Departments
UCLA and USC have the top two athletic programs in the country. They both rank among the elite in virtually every collegiate sport. UCLA leads the nation with 108 NCAA Team Championships and 129 total National Championships. USC is third with 94 and 116, and boasts the most NCAA Men's Championships with 80.

In addition to the titles, USC has produced more MLB players than any other school and has the second most in the NFL while UCLA has sent the most players to the NBA. USC has produced the most Olympic medalists, 258, and UCLA is second with 236.  Their 494 combined Olympic medals (all summer) would rank 7th on the country list and account for more than one-fifth of all US medals.

The head-to-head info was taken primarily from the information departments from both schools and from Lonnie White's book, "UCLA vs. USC: 75 Years of the Greatest Rivalry in Sports." Other information was taken from the UCLA and USC official athletic sites.
